Have you ever tried to make a pie?

Have you ever really tried to make a pie? It's not easy doing it from scratch. I give props to the bakers of the world, and this lady, well I'm no baker. Though I am up to the challenge.

My first experience making a pie from scratch did not go well. During preparation, I pegged the crust as the hardest component, but when I tried the finish product... Well let's just say the crust was edible. Haha.

So what have I resolved to do? For the time-being, I went and bought a store-made pie. It was quite tasty, but I still feel hollow inside like I am missing out on something. I therefore resolve to try an easier pie. I might start with a tried and true baking recipe that calls for some simple mixing first and one day, I will make a pie from scratch. I shall keep you posted.

I take this view with my life as well. I'm not about band-aid solutions, so buying the pie from the store is not going to cut it for me. I must start from the foundation, but this is very overwhelming! So what I have resolved to do? Try an easier route. No, I'm not going to buy a fix-it all solution because life really doesn't have an easy button. I think I will pick an issue and try simple solutions until I can one day go to the root of the issue and tackle it head on.

Because folks, life is not a store-bought pie. It's about trial and error, perfecting that perfect pie. And sometimes, being a newly inspired cook and long-time improver upon me, I need to step back, start small, and work my way to the high life.
